Villa Pyrale is situated in the small town of Sanguinet in the extensive pine forests of the Landes. The villa is a short walk from the large picturesque fresh water Lac de Sanguinet with its lovely sandy beaches and a 15min drive from the Atlantic coast with its surfing beaches. Sanguinet has a lively market, 2 bakeries, a supermarket, post office, chemist, doctor and Tourist Office, all these within walking distance of the villa. There are 3 excellent restaurants around the lake, all with wonderful views especially in the evening.

There are activities near by to suit all tastes - Adventure Park, Aqualand, the Zoo and bird watching at Le Teich. There are cycle paths and horse riding locally

Enjoy the wine tasting in St Emilion and the Medoc and discover the story of wine and perhaps try the oyster tasting in Arcachon and La Teste. This is a region of fine food and wines and all on the villa doorsteps!

The Lake is the centre for all water activities - sailing and a sailing school, wind surfing and paragliding, fishing, pedaloes and kayaks. There are golf courses in the vicinity. Enjoy cycle rides round the lake or walks in the pine forest. The warm water in the lake is wonderful for that early morning or late evening swim.
