As Sanguinet is situated at the head of the lake it is possible to choose any one of the many beaches. The waters around the perimeter of the lake are shallow and so retain the heat of the sun. The beach nearest the house is child friendly with lifeguards during the high season and the beach at Les Eaux Qui Rient has a playground for young children, but all ages can find something of interest.

The lake is the centre for all water activities, sailing, sailing school,windsurfing,paragliding, fishing, pedaloes and kayaks. There are walking and cycling paths around the lake and through the forest. Horse riding is available nearby with options for short or daylong rides along the shores of the lake.

The Museum in Sanguinet has on display finds from the three archaelogical sites under the lake. The nearest shopping facilities are in the town, a well stocked supermarket, 2 bakeries and a pharmacy. There are two markets a week in the high season, one a week outside this period. Throughout the holiday season there are local fetes and evening activities.
